医療職者/いりょうしょくしゃ/Iryou Shokusya
(1) Doctor /ˈdɑk·tər/ 医師/いし/Ishi または 先生/せんせい/Sensei
A doctor is a person who is licensed to practice medicine and has trained at a school of medicine, like optometry, dentistry, or veterinary medicine.
Doctorは診療する資格を持っていて学校で医療について訓練を受けた人のことで、例えば眼科医、歯科医や獣医です。
Doctor is a general word, and we have many types of doctors such as physicians, surgeons, anesthesiologist and dentists, among others.
Doctor は一般的な言語で、内科医、外科医、麻酔医や歯科医などの多くの種類の医師がいます。
A physician, pronounced as /fəˈzɪʃ·ən/ is a medical doctor, especially one who has a general skill. While a surgeon, pronounced as /ˈsɜr·dʒən/ is a doctor who performs medical operations.
内科医の発音は/fəˈzɪʃ·ən/で一般的な技術を持っている医師です。また、外科医の発音は/ˈsɜr·dʒən/で手術を行う医師です。
An anesthesiologist /ˌæn.əsˌθiː.ziˈɑː.lə.dʒɪst/, is a doctor who practices anesthesia and is trained to provide pain relief during and immediately following an operation.
麻酔医は麻酔を施して手術の際に鎮痛を提供する訓練を受けた医師です。
And a dentist /ˈden·tɪst/, as all of you probably knows already, is a doctor who treats people’s teeth.
そして、歯科医についてあなたはおそらく既に知っていますね。人々の歯を扱う医師です。
(2) Nurse /nɜrs/ 看護師/かんごし/Kangoshi
A nurse is a person trained to care for people who are ill or not able to care for themselves because of injury or old age, and who may also help doctors in treating people.
Nurseは怪我や高齢によって自分自身のことができない人々の世話をしたり、医師の助けをする人です。
(3) Midwife /ˈmɪdˌwɑɪf/ 保健師/ほけんし/Hokenshi
A midwife is a person, usually a woman, who is not a doctor and who has been trained to help women when they are giving birth.
Midwifeは通常女性であり、医師ではありません。出産時に妊婦の助けをする訓練を受けた人です。
A pharmacist is a person who is trained in the preparation of medicines. They provide prescription medicines to patients and advise them on the use of both prescription and over-the-counter drugs.
Pharmacistは薬の準備をする訓練を受けた人です。患者に処方薬を提供し、その薬の使い方を助言します。
A physical therapist is a person trained and licensed to practice physical therapy. Physical therapists provide services that help restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities of patients with injuries or disease.
Physical Therapistは理学療法の訓練を受け、認可された人です。機能を元に戻す手助けを提供したり、機動性を改善したり、痛みを和らげたり、怪我や病気の患者の身体障害を予防または制限をします。
Occupational therapists do treatments that help people who have physical or mental problems learn to do daily life activities.
Occupational therapistsは身体的または精神的に問題のある人に日常生活動作を学んでもらうように手助けする人です。
(7) Dietitian 栄養士/えいようし/Eiyoushi
A dietitian /ˌdaɪ.əˈtɪʃ.ən/ or nutritionist is an expert on diet and nutrition and give people advice about what to eat in order to be healthy.
Dietitian またはNutritionistは食事法や栄養についての専門家であり、健康になるために何を食べればいいのか助言します。
Radiology technicians are responsible for taking x-rays of patients to diagnose medical issues. They are required to take special precautions while using the radiology equipment to reduce exposure to radiation.
Radiology techniciansは健康問題を診断する為にX線写真を撮影する役割があります。被ばく量を減少させるよう放射線機器を使用する際は特別な予防措置をとることが義務付けられています。
(9) Medical Technologist 臨床検査技師/りんしょうけんさぎし/Rinsyoukensagishi
Medical technologists, also known as clinical laboratory technologists, perform and analyze the results of complex scientific tests on blood and bodily fluids. These highly trained professionals work in hospitals and independent laboratories using sophisticated procedures and equipment.
Medical Technologist は別名Clinical Laboratory Technologists（臨床検査科学技術者）で、血と体液の化学検査をし結果を分析します。非常に訓練された技術者で病院や独立研究所で高度な手法と器材を使って働いています。
Speech-language therapists provide life-changing treatment, support and care for children and adults who have difficulties with speech, language and communication, or with eating, drinking and swallowing.
Speech-language therapistsは生活を変えるような治療を提供し、話すことや会話、食べたり飲んだりすることが難しい子供や大人のサポートやケアをします。
