Shopping Phrases 買い物のフレーズ
Hi, I’m back for a new video lesson. So yesterday I was kinda browsing in the internet and I saw this one blog post about Shopping so I thought why don’t I make a video lesson about Shopping, you know, phrases and that you usually use when you go shopping. Whether you are the type of person who loves to shop or just the type who goes shopping when you need anything, you know that shopping is a very good way to practice your English. You can communicate with different kinds of people and in some way this can help you boost your confidence in speaking English. So in this video lesson, we have some phrases and expressions that you can familiarize with so that you will know what you should expect from the people you talk to when you go shopping. Let’s go shopping!
みなさん、こんにちは！新しいビデオレッスンです。昨日、インターネットを読み通していたらショッピングについてのブログを見つけたので、ショッピングで活用できるフレーズや表現についてのレッスンビデオを作ろうと思いました。あなたは買い物が大好きな人ですか、それとも何か必要な時だけ買い物に行く人のどちらでしょう。お買い物は英語の練習としてとても良い方法です。いろんな人と会話ができますし、英語を話すことに対して自信をつけることができます。今回のビデオレッスンでは、あなたにとって親しみがあるフレーズと表現が出てくるので、買い物するときにどうやって会話をすればいいか分かると思います。さあ、買い物に行きましょう！
Scene 1
RJ：Good morning, ma’am. Welcome!
いらっしゃいませ、おはようございます。
Cha：Good morning.
おはようございます。
RJ：Can I get you anything?
なにかお持ちしましょうか？
Cha：No, I’m just browsing. Thanks.
見ているだけなので結構です。ありがとうございます。
RJ：Okay.
かしこまりました。
Cha：(You can also say “I’m just looking.”) （I’m just lookingとも言えます※I’m just browsing と同じ意味です。）
Scene 2
RJ：Can I help you find something?
なにかお探しするのをお手伝いしましょうか？
Cha：I’m looking for a floral maxi dress that I could use this weekend. We’re going to the beach.
週末に使うための花柄のマキシ丈ワンピースを探しています。海に行く予定なんです。
RJ：Sounds exciting! I have exactly what you’re looking for.
楽しそうですね！まさにお客様がお探しのものがあります。
Cha：Nice! Can I see it?
いいですね！見てみてもいいですか？
RJ：Hold on a minute. (goes on to get the dress)
少々お待ち下さい。（洋服を取りに行きます）
Here you go. Would you like to try it on?
こちらです。ご試着されますか？
Cha：You bet! Where is your fitting room?
もちろんです！試着室はどこですか？
RJ：The fitting room is this way, ma’am.
試着室はこちらです。
Cha：Thanks!
ありがとうございます。
(Changing room and fitting room are just the same thing. And you can also say “Is there somewhere I can try this on?”)Changing room とfitting room は同じ意味です。試着する場所はどこですか？とも聞くことができます。
(After fitting the dress)
試着後
RJ：How did you do?
いかがですか？
Cha：It did not fit. I did not like it on me. Do you have it in a smaller size?
サイズが合わないので見栄えがよくないです。小さいサイズはありますか？
RJ：I think we have. Hold on a minute and I’ll grab it for you.
あるとおもいます。取りにいくので少々お待ち下さい。
Cha：(When you ask for sizes you can say “What size is this?” and “Do you have a smaller/bigger/larger size?”)
サイズについて聞くときは、このサイズはなんですか？Sサイズ、より大きいサイズ、Lサイズはありますか？と聞くことができます。
If you want it in another color, you can say “Do you have this in another color?”
もし違う色が欲しい時は、違う色はありますか？と聞くことができます。
And if it’s not the right stuff you can say “Sorry. It’s not what I’m looking for.”)
そしてもし商品が正解のものでなかったら、すみません、これは私が探しているものではありません。と言うことができます。
RJ：Here you go. You can try it on.
こちらです。試着してみてください。
Cha：Yeah, I better should.
そうですね。
Scene 3
RJ：How was it?
いかがですか？
Cha：I really like it. I’ll take it. How much is it?
とても気に入ったので買います。これはいくらですか？
RJ：It’s $60, ma’am.
60ドルです。
Cha：Oh really? Do you have something a little less pricey. You know it’s way out of my budget.
本当ですか？もうちょっと安いものはありますか？これは予算外です。
RJ：We have a cheaper one but not in this shade. A little darker in color but still floral.
もっと安いのがありますが、同じ色ではありません。少々暗いですが、こちらもなお花柄です。
Cha：Hmm. I’m gonna think about it. Can I look around a little more?
そうですか。ちょっと考えます。もう少し見て回ってもいいですか？
RJ：Sure. Take your time.
もちろんです。ごゆっくり。
Scene 4
Cha：I’ll take this dress.
この服を買います。
RJ：Great! Let me go ahead and take that for you. And I’m giving a sample of our very own fragrance that you can try.
いいですね！ではこちらで準備しますね。それと、お客様に当店オリジナルの香水のサンプルをお渡しするので試してみてください。
Cha：Really? Wow, thank you!
わー！本当ですか？ありがとうございます！
(You could also ask them to gift wrap your item. Just say “Can I get this gift wrapped? Or “Can you gift wrap this for me?”)
プレゼント用の包装もお願いすることができます。包装をお願いできますか？と聞くことができます。
RJ：Shall I hand the receipt to you or just put it inside the bag?
レシートはお渡ししますか？それともバッグの中にお入れしますか？
Cha：Just put it inside the bag, please.
バックの中に入れて下さい。
RJ：Do you want to add in a pair of earrings to match with your dress?
この洋服に合うイアリングはいかがですか？
Cha：Oh no, thanks. I already have a pair to go with it.
いいえ、結構です。すでに合うイアリングは持っています。
RJ：All right.
かしこまりました。
Cha：Are you open every day?
毎日お店は開いてるんですか？
RJ：We’re open on weekdays only, ma’am.
平日だけお店を開けています。
Cha：I see. And what are your opening hours?
なるほど。営業時間はどれくらいですか？
RJ：We’re open from 9AM to 9PM.
AM９時からPM９時までです。
Cha：Okay. Just in case me and my friends could swing by again to see your new stocks.
もし新商品が入ったらまた友達と見にきますね！
RJ：You are very welcome to come again. So here is your item. Hope you will have a nice day at the beach.
もちろん、歓迎します。こちらがお客様の商品です。海で楽しい時間を過ごせることを祈っています。
Cha：Thank you!
ありがとうございます。
RJ：Thank you as well. And hope you could come see us again.
こちらこそありがとうございます。またお会いできることを願っています。
Cha：Definitely coming back. Have a nice day!
